ASST is actively seeking a
COMMUNITY GATHERING MANAGER.

The Community Gathering Manager will oversee the planning and delivery of the ASST weekly community gathering, a core function of ASST that consists of a 90-minute Zoom meeting held each Monday from 4:00-5:30 PM Eastern Time. 

​

The Community Gathering Manager is responsible for:

  • guiding the community gathering leaders, a committee of volunteers who assist in planning and facilitating the gathering.

  • collaborating with the Executive Director and others to create or refine associated processes.

  • promoting the continued growth and development of ASST as a whole by strengthening the community gathering as a vital component of our work.

Essential functions of the position include:

  • planning and leading a monthly meeting of the community gathering leaders 

    • identifying and scheduling relevant topics

    • assigning roles and responsibilities

  • growing the community gathering leaders team

  • serving as primary communication liaison between the community gathering leaders, ASST leadership, invited guest presenters, and other participants

  • maintaining accurate and accessible planning documentation

Estimated 20 total work hours/month, after requisite training.

Stipend: $500/quarter.

Term of service to be mutually agreed upon. ​​

Artists Standing Strong Together is qualified as a charitable organization

under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Contributions to ASST are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

ASST is supported by the Durham Arts Council’s Annual Arts Fund and the N.C. Arts Council,

a division of the Department of Natural & Cultural Resources.
